Cold WARFARE even inside INTERPOL! Western Plot vs Russia: over 100 Criminals’ Extraditions Rejected by EU

Some Interpol members have been plotting to remove Russia from the international police cooperation body for political reasons, the head of Russia’s National Central Bureau of Interpol, Major General of the Police Valery Kalachev, told TASS on Thursday.
Russian official: “Western countries hatching Interpol plot against Moscow”
According to Russia Today, when Moscow launched its military campaign in Ukraine, a “group of nations” began to plan for Russia’s expulsion, the general claimed, adding that the possibility is not even envisioned by the organization’s charter.
“We are aware that some behind-the-scenes debates are still continuing in several unfriendly nations,” he said, adding that these actions go against Interpol’s rules.
“Interpol is a … purely professional police organization,” Kalachev explained, adding that Article 3 of its charter “strictly prohibits [it] from interfering in or engaging in any activities of a political, military, religious or racial nature.”
So far, Moscow has successfully resisted any pressure within the organization and managed to “keep a high level of cooperation with its foreign partners,” the general assured. Kalachev admitted, however, that the EU was increasingly reluctant to work with Russia in this regard since the start of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.
Over 100 Russia’s requests for extradition of criminals turned down by EU since 2022
Countries of the European Union refused to extradite around 100 criminals to Russia in 2022 and 2023, the chief of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian Interior Ministry further said in an interview with TASS Russian News Agency.
“Since the beginning of 2023, requests from Russian law enforcement agencies for the extradition of around 40 people wanted in Russia for committing crimes of various degrees of gravity who were detained in the territory of foreign states have been turned down.
Most of the refusals came from Poland – 10. In all, the European Union countries refused to extradite around 100 criminals in 2022 and 2023,” he highlighted.

Interpol has data on over 130,000 terrorists and their accomplices
“As of the end of last year, Interpol’s data store held data on more than 130,000 people involved in terrorist activities, as well as on persons assisting them. Apart from that, the databases contain identification data (dactocards and DNA) for 665,000 people, whose traces were retrieved from sites of terrorism-related crimes,” Kalachev added in the interview.

He noted that fighting terrorism is the most important area of international cooperation within Interpol. Russian law enforcement agencies take part in a number of Interpol ani-terrorist projects and operations. “Thirst of all, they include fighting against foreign terrorists and militants, as well as those who support them financially and logistically,” he said.
According to Kalachev, one of the most efficient and widely used instrument in this area is the system of special Interpol notifications – the so-called Green Notices warning law enforcement agencies of other states that an individual may be likely a threat to public security.
“The use of such notices helps prevent criminal activities of such individuals, restricting their possibilities to enter other countries and reducing their chances to be overlooked by law enforcement agencies,” he said. According to Interpol, Green Notice is issued “to provide warning about a person’s criminal activities, where the person is considered to be a possible threat to public safety.”
