Bulgarian envoy to be summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry over expulsion of priests
VERSIONE IN ITALIANOBulgarian authorities expelled on Thursday the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Sofia, Archimandrite Vassian Zmeev, who was expelled from Skopje a week earlier because of allegations that he was a Russian spy.
Together with Zmeev, two citizens of Belarus who were also servants of the Russian Church were expelled from Sofia.
Bulgarian Ambassador to Moscow Atanas Krastin will be summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry over the expulsion of Russian Orthodox priests from that country, Russian envoy to Sofia Eleonora Mitrofanova told the Rossiya-24 TV channel, as reported by TASS Russian News Agency.
“Some steps will certainly be taken. First of all, the ambassador will be summoned, there will be a certain conversation with him,” the diplomat said, commenting on Moscow’s potential response measures over the expulsion of the representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church from Bulgaria.
That said, she noted that “no one in Moscow will take any retaliatory measures against the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.” “We are not barbarians,” the ambassador added.

The UN appears to have ignored the formal complaint of religious persecution (in violation of the 1981 resolution approved by the United Nations General Assembly) presented by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) which, despite having blamed the Russian military invasion in the country, remained faithful to the Russian Orthodox Church of which it is an integral part.
So a new retaliation develops in one of the most strategic NATO countries for the war in Ukraine.

This company is suspected of being involved in trafficking of white phosphorus bombs, banned by UNODA because they burn quickly and cause physical damage and devastating fires.
