Cyprus: EU Military Den of Israel Defense Forces. Rave’s Survivors in “Secret Forest” under the Shade of IDF & Mossad

What do the young Israelis who survived the SuperNova rave party really do after the attack by Hamas terrorists on the island of Cyprus?
What happens in the Secret Forest of Milou, where a wealthy compatriot offered them hospitality, for suitable post-trauma psychological therapies, in his luxurious resort which is located just 40 km from Paphos international airport where the Israel Defense troops Forces (hereinafter only IDF) have created their own ghost military station in the Cyprus National Guard base and where they conduct frequent joint exercises every year?
Is the owner of the Yoni Kahana facility just a namesake with personal and physiognomic similarities to the IT engineer of an Israeli cybersecurity company that recruited a former director of the notorious Mossad counterintelligence in Tel Aviv?
Or is it the same person and behind the welcoming structure which welcomes wealthy tourists during periods lies an international intrigue between spies, soldiers and the training of new followers in the reserved context of a Secret Forest which well satisfies the Latin phrase “nomen omen” (a name, a destiny)?
In four questions, some background details still need to be clarified regarding the role of Cyprus. This new geopolitical position has caused much concern in recent years in the Turkish government which controls the northern part of the island disputed with the British. Let’s start right here…
Israel’s “Ghost” Military Base in Cyprus
«Greek Cypriot daily newspaper Simerini wrote in an article under the headline “Cyprus is the training base of Israelis” that the intended thing is to facilitate coordination between the two countries and become the Greek Cypriot side’s regular exercise base for Israel Air Forces and at the same time establish a permanent facility for Israeli Air Forces aircraft to make practice as much as they require».
«The newspaper also wrote that the Israeli Air Forces held two military exercises in South Cyprus in 2015 and the target is to hold more military exercises in 2016 and to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries».

The clarification is a must in order to avoid diplomatic incidents between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which published this note way back in 2015, and NATO which also includes the United Kingdom which has two army posts in the the southern area of the island.
Akrotiri and Dhekelia are one of the British overseas territories, located on the island of Cyprus and made up of two distinct military bases of the United Kingdom. The one in Akrotiri is located near Limassol, while the one in Dhekelia is located north-east of Larnaca.
The news had been in the air since 2012 when Greek Reporter launched the indiscretion on the hypothetical agreement not yet defined.
«Israel will ask the Cyprus government for permission to station military jets at the Andreas Papandreou airbase in Paphos, creating the first Israeli military station outside the Jewish state» wrote Fani Toli taking up DefenseGrrek.com and citing an anonymous confirmation from an IDF officer to the Chinese state news agency Xinhua.
«It is unknown if the plans include a permanent military presence on the island, with a full time deployment of airmen – but it is understood the matter will be discussed when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits later this month (2012 – ed.), becoming the country’s first premier to visit the island».
From plans we moved on to facts, without too many words and formal advertisements for any confidential agreements. Thus the presence of the military on the island became as frequent as that of the American armed forces…

«Babak Taghvaee reports on the recent Israeli series of exercises held on the island of Cyprus. The Israeli Defense Force held two exercises dubbed IASON 2019 and Nikoklis David 2019 for its specialist guerrilla warfare commandos assigned to the Egoz unit in late May. Fourteen Israeli Air Force squadrons took part operating 20 aircraft, 17 helicopters and two UAVs around Akamas, Cyprus; it was the largest overseas exercise ever held by the Israel Defense Force».
«Paphos International airport was used to transport the commandos, their equipment, maintenance personnel, their ground equipment and special tools. Airlift was provided by three Nevatim-based transport squadrons: the C-130J-equipped 103 ‘The Elephants Squadron’; the KC-707-equipped 120 ‘The International Squadron’; and the KC-130H-equipped 131 ‘The Yellow Bird Squadron’. The civil airport of Paphos, used by thousands of tourists every year, is in fact also an asset of the Cyprus National Guard, serving as a military air force base under the call sign ‘Andreas Papandreou’. Located on the north-eastern part of the airport, it is considered the most south-eastern European air force base component of various EU air forces, as well as a safe base for humanitarian and emergency purposes for other countries.
Let’s put aside the exercises for a moment, which we will talk about again later in the article, and let’s go back to the present day.
Secret Forest: a Luxury Resort for Rave Survivors attacked by Hamas
After the attack by Hamas Israelis no longer feel safe. And many take refuge in Cyprus, just a 40-minute flight away, a Mediterranean island that has become a point of reference for thousands of fugitives. This is what a rich report from the Roman newspaper Il Messaggero reports.
«About 1,000 people arrive every day» Arie Zeev Raskin, the island’s chief rabbi, tells the Guardian. «More than 16,000 people have landed in Cyprus in search of peace since that terrible day», last October 7, when Hamas militiamen launched the incursion from the Gaza Strip against Israel.
However, the Israeli arrivals do not come from a single direction; reservists living abroad who responded to Benjamin Netanyahu’s call to arms also stopped here. They passed through Cyprus before returning to their country of origin, reports Arie Zeev Raskin, «we hosted young Jewish reservists from countries like Argentina, who showed up after the attack».
The island, meanwhile, has become a place of “reconstruction” for survivors of the rave in the Negev desert, a raid in which around 260 people were killed.
«A volunteer project with doctors who are experts in acute trauma, psychotherapists, specialized in well-being and mental health, organized free of charge at the Secret Forest, a resort owned by an Israeli that hosts survivors in the heart of the forest in the mountains above Paphos, in the Greek part of Cyprus. 1,200 survivors signed up for the program, the first 53 left for the island on October 20» wrote Il Messaggero.
«To soothe the trauma and give direction to their pain, workshops were set up for dialogue, music, water treatments, acupuncture, shiatsu, yoga, pilates and massages. The retreat in the forest serves to undermine the mechanism of fear and immobility within the trauma» adds the Italian newspaper.
«The Secret Forest facilities include pools, sulfur pools with massage jets, and a full spa with several types of saunas. There is a variety of sports activities with meditation, yoga classes, Pilates, and aerobics every morning. There are fitness equipment, free bikes and nature walks. In addition, there are various alternating workshops such as reversing, mindfulness, acro-yoga for couples, stretching for couples, and more.
«Secret Forest facilities include swimming pools, sulfur pools with massaging jets and a full-service spa with several types of saunas. Every morning a variety of sports activities are offered with meditation, yoga, pilates and aerobics lessons. There are fitness equipment, free bicycles and nature walks. Furthermore, there are various alternating workshops such as reversing, mindfulness, acro-yoga for couples, stretching for couples and more» highlighted Tali Sharon, the Times of Israel journalist who was welcomed into the tourist center for a report.
«The activities offered included also trips from the hotel to nearby villages and trips in Cyprus at no extra charge. So we went on a lovely boat trip to the Blue Lagoon and on a jeep trip to the Adonis spring» she adds.
It’s no surprise that the response by Supernova rave survivors was massive…

«We didn’t imagine what response there would be to our project» said Yoni Kahana, the resort’s owner. «Within a few hours of offering our place to survivors, over 1,200 people signed up for the program».
The manager Maor Arieli highlights the great willingness to support the psychotherapists: «For the good of the survivors and to understand their needs, we have recruited a team of highly qualified professionals. They immediately agreed to help in this important cause. At Secret Forest there is a utopia that we all wish existed in Israel right now.”
The Mysterious Israeli Landlord
If the mysterious landlord had to offer hospitality to all the Israelis of the kibbutzim who for decades have been experiencing repeated military clashes with the Palestinians from whom the Israeli settlers continue to take away the Holy Land (over 200 settlements are considered illegal, half even by of the Tel Aviv government), would probably never have had room for tourists…
This curious initiative led us to look for information on the owner Yoni Kahana and we discovered something truly curious even if not entirely verified and therefore uncertain.

“Cyberattacks are incredibly dangerous because you can destroy infrastructure for a very cheap price without a single bullet or rocket,” Pardo said in the statement. It is “so crucial we develop solutions that comprehensively block the hackers from executing their desired actions, with any possible attack vector.
“With his decades of intelligence and cybersecurity experience, Mr. Pardo will add immense value to our advisory board as we prepare our customers for the worsening cyber chaos,” said Eran Fine, CEO and co-founder of NanoLock.
According to Israeli cyber firm Check Point Security, cyber attacks increased by 40 percent globally in 2021, as compared to 2020, with one out of every 61 organizations worldwide impacted by ransomware each week. The 2022 report said the targeted organizations saw about 900 cyber attacks a week.
Pardo’s move to Nanolock comes just six months after the company he co-founded, XM Cyber, entered into an agreement to be acquired by Germany’s Schwarz Group, a multinational retail operation with some $140 billion in reported annual revenue, for $700 million.
Netanyahu’s Historic Trip to Cyprus
«The Israeli Prime Minister has begun a visit to Cyprus in a move that suggests Israel’s cool relationship with Turkey is likely to continue» wrote The Jewish Chronicle in February 2012.
Although it is located just 165 miles from Israel’s Mediterranean coast, Cyprus has not been a key ally in the past and Nicosia has publicly supported the Palestinians. Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit, which follows several reciprocal ones by Israel and Cypriot officials, marks the first time that an Israeli Prime Minister has visited the island, the journalist noted.
Mr Netanyahu’s office said the visit “was designed to strengthen the improving ties between the two nations.” His sentiments were echoed by a spokesman for the Cypriot government, Stefanos Stefanou, who said it “illustrated the great dynamic driving forward the improvement in relations between the two countries.”
Alon Liel, a former Israeli diplomat in Turkey, suggested that while “the loss of Turkey pushed Israel in the direction of Greece and Cyprus”, the island had become more significant because of the discovery of offshore natural gas deposits in the Mediterranean Sea. The find is the subject of a dispute with Turkey.
But Mr Liel also warned that if Israel cemented a relationship with Cyprus, it would make Turkey likely to “want to aid Hamas”.
“The Turks feel that if Israel is going toward Cyprus they will try to strengthen Hamas,” he said.
In recent weeks, Turkey has not taken a stand in favor of the terrorists responsible for the October 7, 2023 attack on the Israeli rave party and kibbutzim, still full of mysteries on the soil of the IDF army in the massacre of Israelis that is growing bigger every day , but he firmly condemned the genocide carried out in Gaza by the bombings ordered by Netanyahu, threatening complaints to the International Criminal Court for war crimes.
The collaboration between Israel and Cyprus, certainly encouraged by the large deposits identified around the island as well as recently on the coast of the Gaza Strip, has however developed significantly from a military point of view with one exercise after another, without the slightest concern that they could be provocative for the Muslim Brotherhood who govern Turkey by supporting Recep Tayyp Erdogan’s AKP party.
The Ongoing Drills of the Israel Armed Forces in the EU Island
«Approximately 500 Israeli soldiers — many of them from Egoz — traveled to Cyprus for a large-scale war simulation in the island’s mountains. It was the first exercise on foreign soil for the Commando Brigade, also known as the Oz Brigade, since its creation in December 2015».
The week-long drill, as reported by the Times of Israel, tested the abilities of the commandos in new and challenging conditions, according to the chief operations officer of the Commando Brigade, who for security reasons can only be referred to as Maj. H. It was the Commando Brigade’s sixth unit-wide exercise, and approximately 100 Cypriot commandos took part in it.
The Israeli Air Force also dispatched airplanes and helicopters for the drill, and representatives from a handful of other IDF units also participated.
The head of the Commando Brigade, Col. David Zini, oversaw the exercise, and the head of the Central Command, Maj. Gen. Roni Numa, traveled to Cyprus in order to observe it.
Since then, training with the Cypriots has intensified, especially in the last two years.
«Following three weeks of extensive training of the IDF’s large-scale month-long “Chariots of Fire” exercise, the final week of the exercise begins today and centers on the “Beyond the Horizon” exercise in Cyprus» the Israeli Defense Force itself reported with images on its website.
The exercise takes place in cooperation with the Cypriot National Guard and constitutes an important component in maintaining the readiness of the IDF for a variety of operational scenarios.
Military cooperation between the two nations increases joint regional stability and reinforces the ability to face shared security challenges.
As part of the exercise, regular and reserve IDF personnel from multiple commands, branches and directorates will train simultaneously. Participating in the exercise are the 98th “Fire Formation” Division, IAF squadrons, as well as special forces units from the Israeli Navy and Israeli Ground Forces, including Shayetet 13, the “Yahalom” unit, the “Oketz” unit and soldiers from the Intelligence Directorate (J2) and the J6 and Cyber Defense Directorate.

In May 2023 there were even two exercises.
«The AGAPINOR-2023 international exercise was held in Cyprus between May 7-11 within the framework of the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Program between the armed forces of the Republic of Cyprus and the State of Israel» K-News wrote.
Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis congratulated the personnel on the planning, preparation and successful conduct, as well as for the level of readiness, operational training and their high morale and professionalism.
Part of the operations took place at Paphos airport where the Cypriot National Guard has its military base (see YouTube video link below, at the bottom of the article).
In the following days the Blue Sun exercise was also concentrated there with IDF fighter jets, combat helicopters, transport aircraft, and ground forces which included “a large number” of training flights simulating “complex scenarios” deep in enemy territory.
It is therefore clear that the island in the Mediterranean Sea disputed between the pro-Western authorities of Nicosia and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has become the scene of massive military operations and the recent passage of Israeli “reservists” residing abroad may well having represented a training stage for them.

In light of all these military actions, however, the “therapeutic” hospitality offered to kids at the Supernova rave by the Secret Forest resort becomes truly curious which, if it is not a sensational case of homonymy, was opened by a cybersecurity expert former IDF soldier in a special elite and developer in the NanoLock company in which a former head of the Mossad has been working for over a year…
But if on this aspect there remains a gigantic mystery that will probably never be revealed given the secrecy with which the 007 of the Israeli counter-espionage operate, accused by a former CIA official of collaborating with Hamas, of having even played a significant role in the attacks of 11 September 2001 and recently involved in a mysterious incident in Italy at the end of an international operation, it is clear that NATO and the European Union are well aware and happy about this Israeli military hideout on an EU island.

This already makes it easy to understand why Brussels was “complicit in the genocide in Gaza” as declared by the Spanish minister Ione Belarra.
