Putin: “Radical Islamists’ carried out Moscow terror attack”
Russia knows who carried out the Crocus City attack but is now investigating who gave the order, President Vladimir Putin said on Monday, pointing to Ukraine as being the likely culprit. “This attack was carried out by radical Islamists,” Putin said in the opening remarks at a video call with law enforcement officials.
The Russian president statement has confirmed the first hypothesis written by Gospa News about a jihadist plot tied with Ukraine which is using ISIS and other islamist extremist to fight Russian Army (details below).
Russian law enforcement is currently looking into the perpetrators, who have been apprehended and brought before a judge. The investigation needs to be “professional, without any political bias,” Putin said.

139 people were killed at the concert venue northwest of Moscow on Friday evening, when several armed men began shooting into the crowd and set the hall on fire. A terrorist group calling itself Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) has claimed responsibility.
Russian security services detained four alleged perpetrators, who were driving towards Ukraine, as well as seven of their suspected accomplices. The men were identified as ethnic Tajiks.
Putin noted that the fact the terrorists were headed for Ukraine posed questions that needed answering. “Who was waiting for them there? It is clear that those who support the Kiev regime do not want to be accomplices and sponsors of terrorism. But a lot of questions remain,” he said.
Jihadists Trained by Kiev
The US and the EU swiftly insisted that Ukraine had nothing to do with the attack and that IS – a shadowy group allegedly operating in Afghanistan and Central Asia – was the sole culprit.
“But we know who carried out the attack. We want to know who ordered it.” Putin said
Russia’s internal security services once again point the finger at Ukraine for the attack on the Crocus City Hall on Friday evening in which 145 people died: “Kiev trained those responsible in the Middle East” (details below).
The accusation is direct and returns to one of the major fears expressed by Western intelligence agencies, namely Moscow’s use of the massacre as a pretext to attack even more violently the country invaded two years ago.
This time it was the director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, who targeted Ukraine, claiming that the attackers were “trained by Kiev in the Middle East”, warning that Russia will respond with retaliatory measures to the terrorist attack claimed by Ukraine Isis-K. The number one internal security service has also extended its involvement to the United States and the United Kingdom.
UPDATE ON MARCH 24, 2024 – 11 AM CET
Four primary suspects were detained in the early hours of Saturday
Russia’s law enforcement and security services have detained a total of 11 suspects following Friday’s terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall concert venue in the outskirts of Moscow. The detainees include the four alleged perpetrators of the massacre that has claimed the lives of more than 130 and left over 150 injured, according to Russian domestic security service the FSB.
Details about the suspects’ identities and the circumstances of the attack are still emerging. According to the FSB, the assault was carefully planned and designed to maximize casualties. An investigation into the incident is underway. Here is what is known so far:
The four primary suspects were detained in the early hours of Saturday in Russia’s Bryansk Region, bordering Ukraine, an FSB statement said. The alleged perpetrators were traveling in a white Renault Symbol/Clio car they used to flee the scene, according to the 78.ru news media outlet.
Following a brief chase by Russian law enforcement officials, the suspects abandoned the car. One of them was detained at that scene while three others sought to hide in woods, prompting a large-scale manhunt, media are reporting.
“The criminals intended to cross the Russia-Ukraine border and had relevant contacts on the Ukrainian side,” it added, referring to the four primary suspects. The other seven detentions took place in Moscow and the Moscow region, according to Russian media.
Russian law enforcement officials have not released any data on the names or nationalities of the eleven being held. The Russian Interior Ministry only confirmed that none of the primary suspects had Russian citizenship.
A pistol and a cartridge for an Akm assault rifle, better known as a Kalashnikov, were found on the Renault, like those seen yesterday in the videos of the attack and one found on the spot after the massacre. They had passports from Tajikistan, which is a former Soviet republic in Central Asia that has provided volunteers to the Islamic State for many years.
“The Interior Ministry’s migration department, together with our FSB colleagues, is carefully studying the grounds for stay and the length of stay on Russian territory for each of those detained,” ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said.
Footage of the questioning of the suspected perpetrators shows one of them speaking in broken Russian and another talking to officers through an interpreter. One of the suspects claimed he had been to Türkiye and had only come to Russia in early March. No information has been made public about the identities of their seven alleged accomplices.
Weapons and equipment
Footage taken at the scene and released by the Russian Investigative Committee shows that the attackers were armed with what appeared to be assault rifles and were equipped with a large number of ammunition rounds. At least one such weapon resembling an AK assault rifle can be seen in the clip, along with almost a dozen dispenser magazines still loaded with ammunition rounds.
Russia’s Lenta news outlet also reported that a Saiga hunting rifle had also been found at that scene. A Makarov handgun and one more dispenser magazine were also discovered in the suspects’ car during their detention in the Bryansk region, according to Russian media.
One of the suspects claimed during questioning that a weapons cache had been arranged for them by curators they did not know personally and only contacted via Telegram. A vehicle they’d used in the attack was also allegedly bought from one of the suspects’ relatives shortly before the terrorist act.
$5,418 of Motives
One of the suspects filmed during his interrogation by law enforcement officers claimed that he had committed the crime “for money.” The man stated he had been promised 500,000 rubles ($5,418) and had half of this transferred to his debit card before the attack.
RT’s editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan has posted a video clip of the interrogation of one of the suspected terrorists behind Friday’s shooting spree at Crocus City concert hall near Moscow. Earlier on Saturday, Russia’s FSB security service confirmed that eleven suspects, including four of the alleged perpetrators, had been detained in Bryansk Region, not far from the Ukrainian border.
The footage shows a bearded man lying on the ground and describing in broken Russian how he’d been paid to commit the terrorist attack.
The man says that before committing Friday’s atrocity, he had been to Türkiye. When asked what he did at the Crocus City concert venue on Friday evening, he replied: “I shot down… people.” The suspect added that he had committed the crime “for money,” detailing that he had been promised 500,000 rubles ($5,418).
The alleged perpetrator claimed that half the sum had already been transferred to his debit card.
The man also said that the curators, whom he supposedly does not know personally, had contacted him via Telegram messaging app, and arranged an arms cache for the assailants.
According to the suspect, he had been “listening to sermons… by a preacher” on Telegram for some time before being approached by the supposed masterminds of Friday’s attack “around a month ago.”
Shortly after publishing the first video clip, Simonyan posted more footage, in this instance depicting another suspected terrorist speaking through an interpreter.
All of the four suspects detained in Bryansk Region near the border are foreign nationals, the Russian Interior Ministry has said. The ministry refuted rumors circulating online that the terrorists had received Russian citizenship, and warned the public against relying on unreliable sources of information.
It cannot be ruled out that although they are of Caucasian ethnicity they may have been trained by ISIS like the Chechens of the Sheikh Mansur Battalion and other Islamic terrorists enlisted as mercenary paramilitaries by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky but also like the attacker of the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand in 2019.
This could explain why the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack
UPDATE ON MARCH 23, 2024 – 2 PM CET
ISIS CLAIMS ATTACK IN MOSCOW: 133 KILLED. Dozens of Islamic Terrorists freed by US and Hired by Zelensky & American Intelligence
The Russian Investigative Committee has announced that the death toll from the terrorist attack on Friday night at the Crocus municipality, on the outskirts of Moscow, is 133 victims, including three children.
The bodies of 41 people identified. 121 people are hospitalized, of which 60 are in serious condition.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it had arrested 11 suspects, including the 4 material attackers. It is claimed that the suspects were attempting to flee towards the Russia-Ukraine border. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack without providing evidence.
Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced “yesterday’s bloody and barbaric terrorist attack” at the Crocus City Hall auditorium in Krasnogorsk which caused “dozens of victims among civilians and innocent people”.
Those responsible for the massacre killed Russian citizens indiscriminately “like the Nazis,” Putin continued. “We will identify all those who are behind this terrorist act and will pay for it,” concluded the president: “We will not give in to panic.”
From the partial results of the investigation it emerged that “a window” had been created on the Ukrainian side of the border to allow the four attackers of the Crocus City Hall in Moscow to cross the border, Putin said in his address to the nation.

The Islamic State have claimed responsibility for the attack on the Crocus City Hall on the outskirts of Moscow which caused at least 60 deaths and 145 injured, but the casualties number may rise because there are many person hospitalized in serious conditions to whom Russian President Vladimir Putin wished for a speedy recovery.
«Islamic State fighters attacked a large gathering of Christians in the city of Krasnogorsk on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow, killing and wounding hundreds and causing great destruction to the place before they withdrew to their bases safely».
The news was supported by American intelligence and by the discovery of a customized Kalashnikov assault rifle in the Crocus City Hall, the concert venue where the massacre took place, in the north-west of Moscow.
Terrorist Attack in Moscow. Russian Diplomat blames US for Claiming that Ukraine is not Involved
A claim has surfaced that the attack was carried out by Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) a regional affiliate of the IS terrorist organisation. IS has been implicated in some of Russia’s largest recent terror attacks, including the 2017 bombing in the St Petersburg metro that killed 15 and injured 45.
US intelligence told American news agencies that there’s “no reason to doubt” the IS claims of responsibility.
The group, which is a branch of IS mainly based in Afghanistan, has increasingly focused its attention on Russia since the United States left Afghanistan in 2021. The group was formed in 2015 by members of militant groups, including those from Pakistan and Uzbekistan, and is active in central Asia and Russia. It carried out twin bombings in January in Iran that killed nearly 100 people.
“Isis-K and its allies retain a safe haven in Afghanistan, and they continue to develop their networks in and out of the country,” said Gen Michael Kurilla, the commander of US Central Command, during testimony to the House armed services committee in early March
Isis: Occult Armed Wing of the CIA in the Middle East
In the eyes of those less expert in terrorism, the Islamic State’s claim could support the US assertion that Ukraine had no role in the attack. But it’s exactly the opposite.
Precisely the involvement of ISIS can represent a very serious indication not only of the occult involvement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky but also of American intelligence and, specifically, of Langley’s counter-espionage: the Central Intelligence Agency.
Since the beginning of the civil war in Donbass, after the coup financed by George Soros and some NATO countries in Kiev which culminated in the February 20 massacre in Maidan Square by mysterious mercenary snipers as happened in a CIA operation in 2002 in Caracas, Ukraine used the Chechen paramilitary Sheikh Mansur battalion, the Islamic extremists who trained in Syria and Iraq fighting alongside ISIS.
According to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces Hashd al-Shaabi, the infamous Caliph Al Baghdadi, founder of the Islamic State, was an agent of the Israeli Mossad and the CIA. In fact, although imprisoned as a terrorist in the American detention center of Camp Bucca, Iraq, he was mysteriously freed a few years before the birth of ISIS.
Not only. The CIA, through the MOM operation conducted from the Turkish station in Istanbul, supplied the powerful TOW anti-tank rocket launchers to at least 21 groups of Sunni jihadists who in 2011 sparked the civil war against the Syrian president Bashar Al Assad, a moderate Shiite Muslim from Alawite branch, according to a regime-chance project established by the director of the Central Intelligence Agency way back in 1983 against the father of the Syrian leader.
As is known, Russia, which has its only naval base in the Mediterranean Sea in Syria, in Tartus, intervened alongside Assad, helping him defeat ISIS together with the Quds Forces, the special unit of the Iranian Pasdaran Islamic Revolutionary Guards).
This is why in the Middle East the elimination of General Qasem Soleimani, commander of these Tehran paramilitaries, killed by a drone launched by the USA on orders of President Donald Trump on 3 January 2020 in Baghdad airport together with Abu Mahdi al -Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Hashd.
Islamic State terrorists freed by the USA near Russia
The attention of Russian counterintelligence to relations between ISIS and the USA began in 2018 when the then White House national security advisor John Bolton had some Islamic State prisoners released in exchange for gold.
Others were freed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to be used as mercenaries in the invasion of Rojawa (the Kurdish-controlled South East of Syria) and subsequently in Libya with the approval of NATO. The use of jihadist fighters was the subject of a media cover-up managed by the American lobbying company Mercury, a contractor for the Pentagon and Big Pharma for Covid vaccines.
In May 2019, former KGB official Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation FSB, raised the alarm about the transfer of a large number of ISIS terrorists to the Muslim countries of the former Soviet Union bordering the Russia and Afghanistan.
In August 2021, CIA director William Burns went to Kabul to form mysterious alliances with the Taliban government that came to power after the US military withdrawal and with who knows what other entities operating in the region.
Since then the Islamic State of Khorasan (ISKP) of Sunni Islamic terrorists has strengthened and carried out multiple attacks against the mosques of its Shiite enemies.
Jihadists Recruited by President Zelensky for the war in Ukraine
Not only. Since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky has enlisted ISIS mercenaries who joined the Chechen jihadists of the Sheikh Mansur Battalion.
In February 2023, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported that the USA had recruited at least 60 jihadist fighters, ISIS or Al Qaeda, to prepare terrorist attacks in Russia and neighboring countries of the former Soviet Union.
Russia’s FSB security service said it prevented an armed attack by the group on March 7 on a synagogue in the Kaluga region near Moscow.
The FSB said in a statement: “It has been established that the militants of an international terrorist organization are preparing an attack against the parishioners of the synagogue using firearms.”
The Alarm from the US Embassy in Moscow
Within hours, the US Embassy issued an unusual warning to American citizens to avoid large gatherings and especially concerts, repeating calls for US citizens to leave Russia.
CNN journalists said they had been told that “there has been ‘fairly specific’ information since November that ISIS-K wanted to carry out attacks in Russia… US intelligence warned Russia about it.”
“ISIS Fighters Recruited by US Special Service for Terrorist Attacks”. Russian Intelligence Warning
For all these reasons, the Islamic origin of the attack on the Crocus City Hall not only does not exclude a hidden role for Ukraine but makes it even more probable, also raising serious doubts about possible direction of the CIA which already contributed to arming the jihadists in Syria, to orchestrating the 2014 coup in Kiev to oust pro-Russian Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and planning the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
Furthermore, Zelensky’s regime has been identified as responsible for various explosive attacks against Russian journalists, including the one in which Darya Dugina was killed. While the Chilean-American reporter Gonzalo Lira died, in the deafening silence of the Western media, from untreated pneumonia after the torture suffered by the Kiev Special Security Service which arrested him.
Dugina Assassination: Russian FSB Identified the Suspect Ukrainian BombMaker (video)
Finally, it should not be forgotten that some documents recently declassified in reference to a terrorism trial in Guantamano indicated that two of the hijackers of the planes used in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers were CIA collaborators…
And that officials of the Central Intelligence Agency manage one of the most lucrative and largest international arms trades which also fuel global terrorist networks.
In this scenario of shady international intrigues, a curious coincidence must also be mentioned which raises a disturbing question. Is it just a coincidence that the journalist who started the protests in Maidan Square in Kiev thanks to the contributions his TV received from Soros was an Islamic man of Afghan origins who later became deputy director of the Ukrainian national armaments industry?
