ATTEMPTED COUP IN RUSSIA FOILED BY FSB. Six UK diplomats working in Moscow engaged in Intelligence, Subversive activities

Six employees of the UK embassy in Moscow have been stripped of their accreditation for engaging in intelligence and subversive activities incompatible with their diplomatic status, the press office of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) reported, according to TASS Russia New Agency.
The story brings to mind the role played by foreign officials from GCHQ, the UK’s largest intelligence agency, and MI6, the Crown’s military counter-espionage service made famous by the James Bond film series, in Kiev in the preparation of the 2014 coup with courses and training for selected young Ukrainians.

“The Russian Federal Security Service has received documentary materials confirming London’s coordination of the escalation of the international military-political situation,” the press office said.
“The said documents show that in the UK the main unit coordinating subversive activities in Russia’s direction (and in the countries of the former USSR) is the Directorate for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the UK Foreign Office, which after the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine was transformed into a special service whose main task is to inflict a strategic defeat on our country,” the press office pointed out.

“On the basis of documents provided by the FSB, as well as in response to numerous unfriendly steps of London, the Russian Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with the concerned agencies, terminated the accreditation of six employees of the political department of the UK Embassy in Moscow. The FSB detected signs of intelligence and subversive activities in their work,” the FSB said.
“The revealed facts give grounds to consider the activities of UK diplomats sent to Moscow by the Directorate as a threat to Russia’s security,” the press office added. “Subsequently, if similar actions are detected in the employees of the UK diplomatic mission, the FSB will demand early termination of their business trips in Russia,” the FSB emphasized.

Tensions between Moscow and London flared after the discovery that the peace deal of March 2022 were interrupted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, suspected of being an MI6 agent himself, at the instigation of former British Prime Minister Borsi Johnson.
Johnson was then recruited as a high-level official in the CEPA think-tank in Washington which had already planned the militarization of Ukraine and other Eastern countries in 2020 in a project agreed upon by NATO and the European Union defense leaders which received funding from the main industries of the Weapons Lobby now intent on profiting from the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.
Johnson has also publicly supported the Ukrainian neo-Nazi paramilitaries of the Azov Battalion reported to the International Criminal Court for ferocious war crimes, favoring the supply of weapons also to these nostalgic SS formations by various countries of the Atlantic Alliance.
MFA – Russia will not tolerate activities of undeclared British secret service officers
Russia will not tolerate the activities of undeclared officers of British secret services on its territory, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said in a commentary.
“We would like to emphasize in particular that Moscow will not tolerate the activity on Russian territory of undeclared officers of British secret services. Our uncompromising stance on this issue will be formulated in accordance with the interests of national security,” she stated.
“We intend to continue to respond to any unfriendly actions by London in a tough and proportionate manner,” Zakharova said. “We urge the British side to abandon its counterproductive and harmful hostile activities on the Russian track.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry fully shares “the viewpoint expressed by the Federal Security Service (FSB) regarding the activities of British ‘diplomats.'”
“The British embassy has gone far beyond the limits outlined by the Vienna Conventions. The most important thing, though, is not the formal side of the affair or inconsistency with the declared activities, but subversive actions aimed at harming our people,” Zakharova said.
