Iranian Press TV: “The attacks caused limited damage in some locations”
«Iran’s air defense force has confirmed Israeli attacks targeting positions in Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam provinces, saying the aggression was successfully thwarted» has reported Iranian Press TV.
“Despite the previous warnings of the officials of the Islamic Republic to the criminal and illegal Zionist regime to avoid any adventurous action, this fake regime attacked parts of military centers in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam this morning in a tension-causing action,” the air defense force said in a statement on Saturday morning.
Footage shared online captured what appeared to be interceptions over the Iranian capital.
The country’s integrated air defense system successfully intercepted and countered the act of aggression, it said. The attacks caused limited damage in some locations and the dimensions of the incident are under investigation, the statement added.
The Iranian military, in turn, said that some of its facilities in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam had come under attack but Israel had only managed to cause limited damage. Tehran is ready to give a proportionate response to Israeli strikes, the Tasnim news agency reported, citing an informed source (read more below).
The Iranian Army said two of its servicemen have been martyred in the military attacks by the Israeli regime early Saturday.
The Iranian Army said in a statement on Saturday that two of its combatants have been martyred during confrontation with the projectiles fired by the criminal Zionist regime as the Army continues to safeguard Iran’s security and prevent harm to the Iranian nation and interests, Tasnim added.
The Iranian Air Defense issued a statement on Saturday, saying that the criminal, illegitimate and fake regime of Israel in a move to escalate tensions launched attacks on some military sites in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam in the early hours of October 26.
Iran Entitled to Defense against Aggression: Foreign Ministry
Condemning the Israeli regime’s recent attack against a number of military centers in Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Iran’s inherent right, under Article 51 of the UN Charter, to self-defense against foreign acts of aggression.
In a statement on Saturday, quoted by Tasnim, the Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s aggressive measure against a number of military sites in Iran as a clear violation of the international law, the UN Charter, and the article on prohibition of threat or use of force against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
Referring to the warnings by the competent Iranian authorities, the ministry said, “On the basis of its inherent right to legitimate defense, stipulated in the Article 51 of the UN Charter, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers itself to be rightful and duty bound to defend against the foreign acts of aggression.”
The statement noted that Iran will employ all of the physical and spiritual capabilities of the Iranian nation to protect its interests and security.
Israeli operation and its consequences
Over 100 planes were involved in the 2000 km attack, including the cutting-edge F-35, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Israel hit about 20 targets, the New York Times said.
The Israeli military carried out three waves of strikes on targets in Iran, Barak Ravid, political reporter for the Axios media outlet, said, citing sources. The first wave focused on the Iranian air defense system and the second and third waves focused on missile and drone bases and production sites.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the Israeli army had carried out strikes on military facilities in southern and central Syria.
The country’s air defenses downed several missiles.
- Israel’s preliminary strike on radar targets in Syria was aimed at “blinding” Iran’s capabilities, quickly escalating into an offensive targeting Tehran and Karaj, Iran’s capital and another strategic location, the Jerusalem Post reported.
- Israel did not target Iranian nuclear and strategic facilities, Iran’s ShafaqNA news agency reported, adding that no civilian or military casualties had been reported.
- Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities in western and southwestern Tehran were not hit by Israeli strikes, the Tasnim news agency said.
- Israel’s strikes targeted neither Iran’s oil facilities nor Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport nor Mehrabad International Airport in the Iranian capital, the Lebanon-based Al Mayadeen TV channel reported.

He also reiterated Iran’s message of peace to its neighbors, saying, “We have consistently extended a message of peace and friendship to our neighbors.”
Tangsiri highlighted the strong will of the Iranian people, referring to the massive turnout at Friday prayers led by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on October 4, after Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on Israel’s military bases under Operation True Promise II.
Addressing the adversaries, he stated, “We know our enemy and will deliver a decisive blow, for we are a nation that never bows down.” The IRGC commander further unveiled the “UK’s malicious plan” to sow discord among Muslim nations, stating that the UK has strategically positioned itself to pit Muslim countries against one another.
“The UK has devised a plan, not only for Iran but for all Muslim countries—from Iraq and Kuwait to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and Oman—aiming to manipulate and create divisions whenever it pleases.” Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to its territorial integrity, Tangsiri declared that the three Iranian islands of Abu Musa, the Greater and Lesser Tunbs remain an inseparable part of its land and will continue to do so.
He concluded by condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression in the West Asia region.

Gaza’s civil defense says the Israeli army has carried out a “massacre” in the past few hours, razing at least 10 residential buildings in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern part of the Strip, the Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera reported. Citing local sources, the Palestinian news agency Wafa said the death toll was around 150 or more.

Israeli forces stormed the last operational hospital in the besieged northern Gaza on Friday
after laying waste to a densely packed refugee camp in a bombing campaign that killed scores of Palestinians, reported Middle East Eye.
The attack on the Kamal Adwan hospital, located in Beit Lahia, was launched around 2am local time, shortly after Israeli fighter jets carpet-bombed residential buildings in the nearby Jabalia camp and southern Gaza’s Khan Younis.The assault on the hospital began with air strikes that hit the hospital and its courtyards, including the medical oxygen generator, said Dr. Munir al-Bursh, director general of the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza.
The bombing of the oxygen supply led to the death of children in the hospital and wounded medical staff, Bursh said.
“Instead of receiving aid, we receive tanks… which are shelling the [hospital] building,” Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan hospital, said in a video published on his social media pages shortly after the bombing. Contact with him has been lost since.
Iran condemns Zionist regime’s killing of three journalists in southern Lebanon
