PUTIN: “Decision-making Centers in Kiev could be targeted in Oreshnik Strikes. Powerful as Meteorites… ”
Decision-making centers in Ukraine could be targeted in strikes with Russia’s newest Oreshnik hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile system, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
“The Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Russian Army are currently selecting targets to strike on the territory of Ukraine,” Putin said speaking at the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Summit in Astana.
“These targets may include military facilities, defense industry enterprises or decision-making centers in Kiev,” the Russian president stated.
He also said that serial production of the Oreshnik missile system has already been launched.
“But at the end of the day, it will be up to us to choose the means of destruction considering the nature of the targets that were selected to be wiped out and the threats posed to the Russian Federation,” Putin noted.
The Russian president stressed that Moscow would respond to any and all strikes on Russian soil with the use of Western-made long-range missiles, up to and including “the possible continuation of Oreshnik tests in combat conditions, as was done on November 21.”
Putin compares Russia’s new missile to meteorite
Putin said on November 21 that the United States and its NATO allies had announced their decision to grant Kiev permission to use long-range high-precision weapons, following which US-and UK-made missiles attacked Russian military sites in the Kursk and Bryansk regions.
In response to these attacks, Russia test-launched the latest Oreshnik hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missiles with conventional warheads against Ukraine’s major Yuzhmash defense enterprise in Dnepr (formerly Dnepropetrovsk), Putin elaborated.
The Russian leader stressed that the West’s inflammatory actions could trigger serious consequences if the Ukraine conflict escalates further.
The strike power of Russia’s new state-of-the-art Oreshnik ballistic missile is similar to a powerful meteorite impact, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday. The hypersonic weapon is capable of successfully hitting heavily fortified targets, he added.
Moscow already has several such missiles at its disposal and has begun mass production of the advanced weapon system, he told a summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.
EU action to address the alarming escalation of Russia’s war
«The international community must take swift and decisive action to address the alarming escalation of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, says a non-legislative resolution adopted by the European Parliament with 390 votes in favour, 135 against and 52 abstentions. It condemns Russia’s use of North Korean troops against the Ukrainian army and its testing of new ballistic missiles in Ukraine»
Italian national network RAI News wrote.
These recent events represent a new phase in the war and a new risk to Europe’s security, say MEPs, calling on the EU and Ukraine’s other partners to respond accordingly. Insisting that “no negotiations on Ukraine can take place without Ukraine”, MEPs urge the EU to work to secure the widest possible international support for Ukraine and find a peaceful solution to the war.
Parliament calls for the EU and its Member States to commit to implementing the Ukraine peace formula and creating the necessary conditions for a second Peace Summit, including involving countries from the Global South.
EU Warns Citizens To Stockpile Supplies for Possible Nuclear Disaster
The resolution approved by the European Parliament focuses on a number of key points: the first is that Pyongyang’s involvement and Russia’s tests of new ballistic missiles in Ukraine mark “a new phase of the war”.
Parliament then calls on Beijing to end all military assistance to Russia. MEPs also call for further sanctions in sectors of particular economic importance for Russia. Finally, the concept is reiterated that supporting Ukraine is a common EU-US strategic interest.
The European Parliament has probably forgotten that it was the first Western institution to authorize the use of long-range missiles against Russia…
Therefore the inevitable escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, a puppet of NATO, is a consequence of the decisions of the MEPs who idolize the policies of the Atlantic Alliance managed by Gates and Soros…
