DISASTROUS VOLCANIC PROPHECY OF NOSTRADAMUS: May 20, 2025? Campi Flegrei or Marsili Volcano? Risks endorsed by Science. And by Medjugorje…

by Carlo Domenico Cristofori
Will the supercaldera of Campi Flegrei in Naples, the sixth largest in the world in activity, or the underground megavolcano Marsili in the Tyrrhenian Sea, the largest in Europe, fulfill Nostradamus’ disastrous prophecy?
We will know on May 20, 2025, or perhaps 2026, if things go better 2027. The famous diviner straddling esotericism, biblical hermeneutics and Christian religion has in fact specified the day and month, but not the year…
A year ago it was a mainstream media like the news portal of Virgilio.it that raised the para-apocalyptic alarm on the prophetic vision of the famous diviner.
“The prophecy of Nostradamus: earthquake and mega eruption in Italy” was the title of the site with a hasty article good only for catching a few thousand clicks on the video, absolutely vague and empty, useful only for billing advertising Advertising essential to see in order to watch it…
The SuperCaldera of the Campi Flegrei at risk of eruption
The supernatural ignorance of the site, which probably relied on Artificial Intelligence to produce the content, did not know, however, that it could have hit the target by pointing the lighthouse on the Campi Flegrei volcano that for months has been in continuous and disturbing seismic agitation, but, above all, is suspected of being in a phase of imminent eruption even by a scientific research published in Nature Geoscience to which only Gospa News seems to have given the right prominence.
We have written about this without mentioning the ruler of the sea who could hide the dormant fatal wrath of Poseidon, according to the Hellenists, or of Lucifer’s Hell, according to the Biblical scholars… That is, the Marsili volcano.
Therefore, broadening the spectrum of Nostradamus’ prophecy, it is not at all imprudent to include among the potential eruptive dangers of Italy that of the underground mountain that could unleash a tsunami capable of overwhelming the coasts of the Tyrrhenian Sea and perhaps even Rome with all its evil political tenants…
Before analyzing the prophecy in light of the real scientific risks, let us remember that Marianist Christians have long known about the imminent revelation of the 10 secrets of Medjugorje, the first of which will be tangible signs of a geophysical nature and some permanent, such as could be, precisely, an earthquake, a tsunami or a perpetual volcanic eruption…
We do not know the 10 mysterious secrets of Medjugorje and therefore we limit ourselves to analyzing the historical prophecies that tragically seem to be in extreme harmony with the scientific ones…

The Inauspicious Prophecy of Nostradamus
«His name was Michel de Nostredame, but he went down in History with the most evocative name of Nostradamus. A 16th century French doctor, astrologer and author, he is actually known for his alleged clairvoyant abilities. In 1555 he published a book entitled Les Prophéties (The Prophecies), a collection of predictions about events that could happen in our days.
One could have predicted a disastrous earthquake in Italy” wrote Virgilio.it on March 28, 2024, about a year before the tremendous 4.6 magnitude earthquake in the Campi Flegrei caldera (initially classified as level 4.4).
“There are two prophecies by Nostradamus that, according to enthusiasts, concern what is about to happen in our country. That is, a disaster never seen before and that could upset the lives of more than half a million people. Below are the texts with translation” adds the site publishing the verses but anticipating that they are enigmatic and freely interpretable.
Sol vingt de Taurus û fort terre trembler,
Le grand théâtre remply ruinera,
L’air ciel & terre obscurcir & troubler,
Lors l’infidelle Dieu & faincts voguera.
(The Sun winds of Taurus in which the earth will tremble strongly,
The great full theater will fall into ruin,
the air, the sky and the earth will darken and shake,
when the infidel God and the saints will call).

Cinq & quarante degrez ciel bruflera,
Feu approcher de la grand’ cité neuve,
Inïtant grand flamme efparfe fautera
Quand on voudra des Normans faire preuve.
(Five and forty degrees the sky will burn,
The fire will approach the great new city,
A sudden great flame will spread
When one wants to test the Normans).
«These two prophecies, contained in different parts of Nostradamus’ writings, are seen as premonitory messages of the same event, which should occur on May 20, the month of Taurus, when the earth, according to the interpreters of Nostradamus’ quatrains, will shake so hard that it will destroy everything. The year is not known» adds Virgilio.it.
The Earthquake That Could Devastate Naples
The second would instead tell us where all this will happen: in Naples, which is located at 40.5° latitude and whose name, from Greek, means New City. The references to the theater and the Normans, who conquered the entire South of the Italian peninsula between the 11th and 12th centuries, heavily influencing Neapolitan culture and society, would seem to confirm this hypothesis.
The event, an earthquake and then a volcanic eruption, will change the minds of all the skeptics, the infidels who, metaphorically, will start believing again. Many today underestimate the risk that lies at the gates of Naples. It is not Vesuvius, but an even more frightening super volcano.
«The prediction could in fact refer to the maxi volcano of Campi Flegrei, whose recent activity is a cause for concern for a part of the scientific community. The frequent earthquakes could in fact anticipate an eruption that could prove catastrophic and trigger a tsunami».
This is what the Virgilio website wrote a year ago without knowing what would happen in 2025 and, above all, what a scientific article published in Nature Geoscience would have predicted about the imminent risk of a volcanic eruption.
But it would be very reductive to limit ourselves to this dangerous phenomenon as unfortunately many important state volcanologists have done, avoiding hypothetically correlating the earthquakes that occurred in the Naples area with those that recently occurred in Sicily…
None of the national experts, in fact, seems to have given even the slightest consideration to the hypothesis that the seismic swarm of the Campi Flegrei and the earth tremors in other southern areas of Italy have a minimal correlation with the underground supervolcano of Marsili.
Yet even Wikipedia highlights its dangerousness… Let’s let it speak!
Marsiili, a Nightmare Worse than the Campi Flegrei
«Marsili is a submarine volcano located in the southern Tyrrhenian Sea and belonging to the Aeolian island arc. It is located about 140 km north of Sicily and about 150 km west of Calabria and is the largest volcano in Europe. It has been indicated as potentially dangerous, because it could trigger a tsunami that would affect the southern Tyrrhenian coasts» writes Wikipedia citing multiple authoritative institutional sources.
The volcanic phenomena on Mount Marsili are still active and numerous satellite volcanic systems are developing on the flanks. The magmas of Marsili are similar in composition to those detected in the Aeolian arc, whose volcanic activity is attributed to the subduction of ancient Tethys crust (Ionian subduction).[10] It is estimated that the age of the beginning of the volcanic activity of Marsili is less than 200,000 years. Traces of collapses of material have also been detected from the flanks of some of the submarine volcanoes which could have caused tsunamis in the Tyrrhenian coastal regions of southern Italy.
Together with Magnaghi, Vavilov and Palinuro, Marsili is included among the dangerous submarine volcanoes of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It shows, as already happened for Vavilov, the risk of an extensive collapse in a single event of a ridge of the mountain. Furthermore, deep-sea hydrogeological surveys indicate the geothermal activity of Marsili together with that of: Enareta, Eolo, Sisifo, the Secca del Capo and other deep hydrothermal sources of the southern Tyrrhenian Sea.
«In February 2010, the oceanographic vessel Urania, of the CNR, began a study campaign on the submerged volcano. Potentially dangerous risks of collapse were detected, which testify to a notable instability. A significantly large region of the summit of Marsili also appears to be made up of low-density rocks, strongly weakened by hydrothermal alteration phenomena; which would predict a large-scale collapse event» specifies Wikipedia.

Seismologist Enzo Boschi, former president of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), stated:
«Our latest research shows that the volcano is not structurally solid, its walls are fragile, the magma chamber is of considerable size. All this tells us that the volcano is active and could erupt at any moment».
«The collapse of the walls would move millions of cubic meters of material, which would be capable of generating a very powerful wave. The evidence collected now is precise, but no predictions can be made. The risk is real and difficult to evaluate. What is needed is a continuous monitoring system, to guarantee reliability.»
Journalist Giovanni Caprara wrote in Corriere della Sera, on March 29, 2010, interviewing Enzo Boschi: «The rapid fall of a significant mass of material — explains Boschi — would unleash a powerful tsunami that would hit the coasts of Campania, Calabria and Sicily, causing disasters».
The actual probability of a collapse so large as to trigger a tsunami is not yet clear… But in case of doubt, it is better to be ready for May 20th of each year!
