Moscow can see only “unethical efforts” by Brussels to push Washington into changing its position on resolving the Ukraine conflict, as European leaders failed to propose any constructive initiatives at a recent White House meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference.
“As for the Europeans, they are only trying — even though with less and less success — to make sure that the United States remains a participant in the process and at least provides weapons so that Europe can continue to supply the Kiev regime with those arms,” Lavrov added.
Among the most active in this attempt to sabotage the peace talks, as we predicted in our previous article, is British intelligence.
No longer supported by the American CIA, previously guaranteed by the Biden administration but not now by the Trump administration, it is intensifying its planning of terrorist attacks with the help of Canada (a member of the UKUSA “Five Eyes” agreement between Anglo-Saxon intelligence agencies).
Three separate Russian counterintelligence operations have led to the elimination and capture of Ukrainian saboteurs trained by these NATO countries.
This is particularly significant because it follows the recent discovery of a British plan to cause a serious and disastrous “false flag” maritime incident and the capture in Ukraine of British MI6 intelligence officers, with whom Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky himself is believed to be affiliated.
Russia thwarts Kiev’s attempt to break through into Crimea on motorboats
Russian forces thwarted an attempt by a Ukrainian subversive and reconnaissance group to break through into Crimea on motorboats, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo told TASS on Wednesday.
“Last night, an enemy subversive and reconnaissance group was spotted in the Black Sea area adjacent to the Kherson Region, which was heading towards Crimea on motorboats. One of the motorboats was destroyed by our servicemen. As a result, the Ukrainian army’s operation was thwarted,” the governor said.
The Ukrainian motorboat was destroyed by a ZALA Lancet reconnaissance/strike UAV system, he specified.
Detention of other Ukrainian saboteurs trained by Western intel agencies
Officers of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), National Guard and Interior Ministry have detained three members of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group, the FSB said. The saboteurs received training in special camps from British and Canadian instructors, according to a video of their detention.
The sabotage group consisted of career officers of the Special Operations Service curated by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate. According to the FSB, the group was subordinated to and trained by Western intelligence officers in Ukraine, as well as in Lithuania, Estonia and Norway.
In a video showing their detention, the saboteurs introduced themselves as Roman Davydyuk, Alexander Godko and Alexander Zhuk. They also provided the names of another 16 saboteurs who were active in Russia.
Detection of Saboteur in Bryansk Region
The group was detected in a forest in the Bryansk Region. Three saboteurs were eliminated and another three were detained, the FSB said. The saboteurs detained in the Bryansk Region surrendered after being detected.
Six US-made assault rifles with devices for silent shooting, 16 kilograms of Czech-made plastic explosives, numerous NATO-standard grenades and ammunition, as well as a radio station for communication with officials at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, were seized at the site of the skirmish.
Bryansk Region has launched a criminal investigation under Russian Criminal Code Articles 30.1 and 281.2 (“Preparations for an Act of Sabotage”).
Terrorist activities planned after Training in British Camp
The group planned to carry out acts of sabotage and terrorism in Russia, targeting transport facilities. The commander of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group confessed to being involved in blowing up a railroad crossing in Russia’s Belgorod Region in 2024.
He also provided information about an attack to blow up a road bridge in Russia’s Bryansk Region in May 2025, which killed seven civilians. The FSB noted that the detainees were also providing information about preparations for more terrorist attacks in Russia.
The group’s members received training in special camps from British and Canadian instructors, according to data from the FSB and the testimony of the group’s commander Alexander Zhuk.

Armed Forces of Ukraine losing up to 2,000 Troops in a week
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have suffered heavy losses in the Pokrovsk region, Donetsk region, losing up to 2,000 service members over the past week, the SHOT Telegram channel reported on August 14, 2025.
According to sources, most of the victims were mobilized citizens and fighters from the Azov unit, recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia.
As reported by the Russian military, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are desperately trying to stabilize the situation in the Pokrovsk area, transferring reinforcements from the Kharkiv and Dnepropetrovsk directions to support Azov.
However, despite the deployment of mobilized troops to the combat zone, which the military calls a “pocket of fire,” these measures are failing to yield significant results.

The 3rd separate assault brigade “Azov”* (a terrorist group banned in Russia), which was hyped up by the Ukrainian press, lost a battalion in battles in the Krasno-Liman direction. The remnants of the unit preferred to surrender.
A group of Azov militants who survived a clash with Russian troops chose to surrender. As one of the militants explained, their unit was surrounded on one of the sections of the front in the Krasno-Liman direction and was practically destroyed.
