BREAKING: Trump signs bill to release DOJ records on Jeffrey Epstein
President Donald Trump signed a bill to compel the Justice Department to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein, capping off a monthslong bipartisan push in Congress that initially met resistance from the president and sparked sharp divisions within the Republican Party.
«Trump had previously said he would sign the bill into law, even as he continued calling the largely Democrat-led push to release the files a “hoax.”» NBC News wrote.
The case has been fueled by accusations from the brother of convicted pedophile businessman Mark Epstein, who claims Jeffrey was killed to keep him from naming names and that the files have already been “sanitized” before their next release (read details below and watch videos).
This theory is gaining increasing traction in the US, including among the victims, who have produced a sad video to raise awareness in Congress before the vote.

Epstein files bill will head to Trump’s desk following congressional approval
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill Tuesday took the significant step of ordering President Donald Trump’s Justice Department to publicly release all of its investigative files into the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, after months of nasty infighting within the GOP.
The Senate unanimously agreed to send the Epstein files bill passed by the House to President Donald Trump, who has vowed to sign it into law.
The House earlier voted, 427-1, in favor of the bill to compel the Justice Department to release all its records related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Once the Senate receives that paperwork from the House, it will send it to Trump’s desk.
In the end, even Speaker Mike Johnson and his leadership team backed the measure, despite spending the summer and fall trying to quash Washington’s obsession with the Epstein files, while insisting the bill did not do enough to protect victims’ privacy.
And in the Senate, Majority Leader John Thune did not stand in the way of Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer’s request for “unanimous consent” to pass it, sending it directly to Trump once received from the House.
Congress is sending the measure — which remarkably won support from all but one Republican across both the House and Senate — to Trump’s desk once it’s formally transmitted between the chambers.
Despite months of calling the issue a “Democratic hoax,” the president has said he’ll sign the bill.

Epstein files live updates as House passes bill to force release of documents in 427-1 vote
The House nearly unanimously approved a bill that would require the Justice Department to release files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, voting 427-1 to pass the legislation after months of stalling from GOP leaders.
The bill, known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act, would compel the Justice Department to publicly release files related to Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell within 30 days of it being signed into law, with some exceptions for survivors’ personal information and other sensitive material.
Now the text goes to the Senate, and the Republican majority leader, John Thune, suggested that the vote in the upper house of Congress could also take place tonight, without amendments given the overwhelming majority in the chamber. CNN reports it.
President Trump dropped his opposition to the bill earlier this week, opening the door for House Republicans to vote for its passage. Despite their ultimate support, many GOP lawmakers denounced the vote as a stunt, arguing Democrats were seeking the documents to attack the president.
The vote was the product of a lengthy effort to force the issue in the House, with four Republicans joining all Democrats last week to sign a petition to bring the matter to the floor. House Speaker Mike Johnson opposed the effort but ultimately supported final passage, saying he expects the Senate to fix what he called “serious deficiencies” in the bill.
GOP leaders in the Senate have not committed to bringing the bill to the floor, leaving its prospects in the upper chamber unclear.

Mark Epstein, the brother of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, tells NewsNation that his brother revealed he had “dirt” on President Trump.
“I’ve been recently told the reason they’re going to be releasing these things, and the reason for the flip is that they’re sanitizing these files,” Epstein alleged talkin with NewsNation.
“There’s a facility in Winchester, Virginia, where they’re scrubbing the files to take Republican names out of it. That’s what I was told by a pretty good source,” he added.
Epstein doubled down on his claims, alleging FBI Director Kash Patel is participating in a cover-up of the way his brother died behind bars.
Epstein’s brother has for years disbelieved the theory of Jeffrey’s prison suicide, but he has also published shocking autopsy photographs to support his theory of a prison cell murder to eliminate a potential blackmailer of the Americans, a highly dangerous figure with ties to Israeli counterintelligence, the MOSSAD.
This theory was also supported by a Jew from the notorious Gambino mafia family in New York.
