Israeli bullets found in bodies of 8yo children killed in Iran
Israeli military-grade bullets were found in the bodies of children killed during protests in Iran, as revealed during forensic examinations, a source within Iranian security structures told TASS.
“The case involved an 8-year-old girl from Isfahan who, during recent unrest, went shopping with her family and was fatally wounded by terrorist gunshots to the stomach, chin, and back of the head. Forensic examination showed that the bullets were Israeli military-grade,” the agency was informed.
The source also recounted the story of another child killed under similar circumstances. “On the evening of January 7, 2026, in Kermanshah, 3-year-old Melina Asadi went out with her father to buy baby formula and cold medicine at a pharmacy. On the way back, she was suddenly fired upon from behind by terrorists and killed,” the source reported.
Unrest in Iran began on December 29, 2025, after street protests triggered by a sharp fall in the Iranian rial exchange rate, spreading across most major cities. According to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, armed terrorists appeared among the demonstrators on January 8. The Iranian authorities blamed Israel and the United States for organizing the riots. On January 13, the Iranian police said it had detained almost 300 people accused of property damage and attacks on police officers.
IRGC intelligence dismantles MKO, monarchist terror cells in northeast Iran
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that its intelligence units have dismantled two terrorist networks in northeastern Iran, tied to the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) cult and monarchist groups, after recent foreign-backed riots.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the IRGC branch in Khorasan Razavi Province said its intelligence forces, acting in coordination with the judiciary and other security agencies, dealt a “decisive blow” to key elements of an American-Zionist terrorist network operating at the provincial level.
According to the statement, the forces arrested a five-member cell linked to the MKO and a three-member armed team affiliated with a monarchist terrorist organization. Searches of the targeted individuals’ hideouts led to the discovery and seizure of firearms and explosive materials, it added.
The IRGC said the operation also resulted in the identification and dismantling of a network guilty of carrying out violent acts against citizens, destroying public property, and setting fire to urban transportation and energy infrastructure, causing extensive damage.
The statement added that the arrests were carried out in the context of the recent “American-Zionist sedition,” during which a number of security forces and civilians were killed by terrorist elements using firearms and bladed weapons in a “Daesh-style manner.”
According to the statement, identifying those involved in such attacks remains a priority for security and judicial bodies. It added that public cooperation and intelligence reports have played a role in providing leads that, in some cases, resulted in the identification and arrest of primary terrorist cells.
Over 470 terrorists, riot ringleaders captured in multiple Iranian provinces
Iranian security and intelligence forces have captured more than 470 individuals in three provinces, identified as key figures behind the recent wave of violent unrest and terrorist activities linked to foreign-backed networks.
The Intelligence Ministry’s provincial office in Khorasan Razavi announced on Monday the arrest of 192 armed terrorists, identified as the main agents behind recent riots in the region.
According to an official statement, the detainees were involved in the killing of several security personnel and civilians, setting fire to mosques, public service facilities, and buses, as well as attacks on military and law enforcement centers.
The seized items from the group include several bulletproof vests, Kalashnikov rifles, hunting weapons, Winchester rifles, and various cold weapons such as daggers, swords, brass knuckles, tactical knives, crossbows, and chains.
Evidence indicates that some of the individuals were tied to hostile movements and terrorist organizations, with links overseas. Others were identified as members of violent criminal gangs, actively taking part in the unrest alongside their associates.
