Iranian media have released a video showing the American Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG-121) attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, which is blocked by Tehran.
Footage broadcast by Iranian television shows an American warship heading toward Hormuz, but receiving a clear warning urging it to turn around and return to the Gulf of Oman.
Despite the American destroyer’s insistence that the ship’s movements did not violate international law, the Iranians were adamant, warning all vessels in the Gulf of Oman to maintain a distance of at least 10 miles from any warship to avoid being fired upon. Remarkably, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) chose not to make any statements regarding the incident.

Moscow denounced what it called Kiev’s “neo-Nazi fury,” condemning a bombing by Ukrainian forces overnight in Russian-occupied Crimea, which local authorities say resulted in five deaths in the town of Dzhankoy.
“This is an act of terrorism by the Kiev regime, whose neo-Nazi fury has intensified ahead of May 9,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS, referring to the anniversary of the victory over Nazism in the Great Patriotic War, which will be celebrated on Saturday.
In response to Russia’s request to join a truce for May 9, Victory Day over the Nazis in Russia and Eastern Europe, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attempted to unilaterally invent an early truce.
Using this excuse, he was able to accuse Russia of violating the truce 108 times, including some lethal attacks (estimated to have killed a dozen people in various cities), in preparation for retaliation against the Moscow Historical Parade.

The United States has completed its offensive operations against Iran,Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Tuesday, echoing statements to Congress nearly a month into a fragile ceasefire.
“The operation is over – Epic Fury – as the president notified Congress. We’re done with that stage of it,” Rubio told reporters at the White House.
Earlier the White House had informed lawmakers that the war had terminated due to the ceasefire, avoiding a legal requirement to ask Congress to authorize a conflict that goes beyond 60 days.
US President Donald Trump announced the suspension of “Project Freedom,” a naval initiative meant to escort foreign vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, after just days of promotion, citing ongoing efforts to reach a potential deal with Iranm, Al Mayadeen Lebanese TV has reported.
In a Truth Social post, Trump framed the decision as part of diplomatic progress, claiming that “great progress” had been made in talks with Iranian representatives and that the pause came at the request of Pakistan and other countries.
“Project Freedom… will be paused for a short period of time to see whether or not the Agreement can be finalized and signed,” Trump wrote, while insisting the broader US naval blockade would remain fully in place.
The initiative’s abrupt suspension comes after it effectively lasted no more than 48 hours, raising serious doubts about whether it was ever operational in a meaningful sense.
Despite Washington’s claims that it would guarantee safe maritime passage, regional and maritime sources told Al Mayadeen over the past two days that no sustained US escort operations actually took place in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the IRGC, US claims of tankers passing through the Strait are “baseless and entirely fabricated,” adding that “Any other maritime movements that violate the declared principles of the naval forces of the Revolution Guard will face serious risks, and violating vessels will be stopped by force.”
While pausing the escort mission, Trump made clear that the US naval blockade targeting Iranian ports and waters remains intact, underscoring that Washington’s pressure campaign has not been eased.
The move has been interpreted as a tactical retreat from a poorly executed initiative rather than a genuine de-escalation, particularly as the blockade continues to restrict maritime activity in the region.

A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has claimed that Iran’s armed forces have not carried out any missile or drone operations against the UAE in recent days.
Ebrahim Zolfaghari, the spokesperson, said in a statement that the UAE should not “become a nest for Americans and Zionists and their military forces and equipment”.
According to the spokesperson, Iran has been subjected to “unfair media attacks, baseless accusations, and propaganda” by the UAE, and the Gulf country has become “one of the main bases for the Americans and Zionists, as enemies of the Islamic world and the main cause of insecurity in the region”.

Iran has officially launched a new mechanism for governing maritime traffic through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, Press TV has learned.
Under the newly implemented system, all vessels intending to transit the Strait will receive an email from the official address info@PGSA.ir outlining the rules and regulations for passage.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense assets have intercepted and destroyed 601 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

An Israeli drone attack on a group of people in the Al-Ayoun area of Gaza City killed one person earlier this morning, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reports.
Medical sources told Wafa that several people were seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

«Iran has blamed fires at oil facilities in the United Arab Emirates on the United States’ attempts to ensure passage of some ships through the Strait of Hormuz, the NourNews agency said» according to TASS Russian News Agency.
According to its sources, Iran did not plan any attacks on oil facilities and what happened is the result of the United States’ reckless actions as it tried to facilitate the illegal passage via navigation routes prohibited by Tehran.
“What happened was a product of the US Army’s adventurism to create a corridor for the illegal passage of ships through the prohibited waterways of the Strait of Hormuz,” the source stated.
He said the American military must take responsibility for the incident, slamming Washington for recklessly endangering regional stability.
The UAE authorities said earlier that a drone attack on an oil facility in the Fujairah Emirate was followed by a strong fire. Three Indian nationals were hurt. The UAE foreign ministry “strongly condemned the renewed Iranian terrorist attacks on civilian facilities” and warned that Abu Dhabi reserves the right to retaliate. A massive blaze at oil facilities in Fujairah Port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday was a direct consequence of ‘American adventurism’ in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, according to a report.

This statement is only partially true, as confirmed by the IRGC and as can be seen in the video we posted below. The Iranian Navy fired a shot into the water just below the bow of the US warship, intentionally avoiding a strike to avert triggering a new escalation of war.

The US’ Central Command (CENTCOM) has said “no US Navy ships have been struck. US forces are supporting Project Freedom and enforcing the naval blockade on Iranian ports,” it said on X.
The statement contradicts earlier claims by Iran’s Fars News Agency saying two missiles hit a US Navy vessel near Jask after it ignored warnings from the IRGC to halt.

No commercial vessels or oil tankers have transited the Strait of Hormuz in the past several hours, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Monday, dismissing recent US claims as “baseless and outright false.”
In a statement issued by the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the elite force stressed that maritime movements in breach of its declared naval regulations will face serious risks, and that any violating vessel will be stopped forcefully.

A senior Iranian parliamentarian has warned that any US interference in the new maritime regime of the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a direct violation of the ceasefire, dismissing President Donald Trump’s plan to escort ships through the waterway as “delusional.”
Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament’s foreign policy and national security commission, made the remarks in a social media post on Sunday.
“Any American interference in the new maritime regime of the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire,” Azizi wrote.
“The Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf would not be managed by Trump’s delusional posts! No one would believe blame game scenarios!”
Azizi’s warning came after Trump announced a plan for US forces to begin escorting ships through the strait on Monday, a waterway that has been largely blocked since the outbreak of the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran on February 28.

As far as is officially known, the IRGC does not possess any ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles), but there is a possibility that it received them from China, Russia or North Korea, having already used them in a test launch against the UK-US base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
That would be the best possible outcome.. Destruction and the extension of the war onto American soil is exactly what the U.S. deserves—and has deserved for a long time.

The Israeli occupation regime has received a fresh delivery of US military equipment, with two cargo vessels transporting approximately 6,500 tons of weapons and logistical assets arriving within the past 24 hours, according to the Israeli Ministry of War.
The sales come after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio cited emergency circumstances to fast-track the transfers without prior review by the US Congress.
The shipments, which docked at ports in Haifa and Ashdod, included a wide range of matériel, among them “thousands of air munitions, ground munitions, military trucks, JLTV combat mobility vehicles, and additional equipment,” the occupation regime ministry said.
The sales include the transfer of an advanced precision kill weapon system (APKWS) and related equipment to Israel for $992m, and the purchase of battle command systems by Kuwait for $2.5bn.
The latest delivery forms part of a broader supply pipeline that has expanded significantly since the outbreak of the war on Iran on February 28. Israeli reime authorities report that more than 115,600 tons of military cargo have been delivered through 403 airlifts and 10 maritime shipments over that period.
Five medics were bombed by Israel’s military earlier. This is a pattern we continue to see day in, day out – Israel carrying out attacks on these very critical members of the medical response teams in Lebanon’s south.
Hospitals have been a specific target for Israeli attacks as well. Israel says some of the paramedics are affiliated with Hezbollah, or affiliated with the Amal movement, giving them pretexts to carry out these attacks, saying ambulances are carrying fighters and weapons.
What we’re seeing on the ground is Israel systematically destroying these critical services and infrastructure related to sustaining life in the south.
Overnight, there was a series of intense explosions here in Tyre near the coastline in the southwest sector. There’s no sign of a ceasefire here. Most people are expecting the situation to continue to intensify, especially after Israel issued another threat to people in 11 towns and villages to leave.
“For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move away from the villages and towns by at least 1,000 metres [0.6 miles] into open areas,” the Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee posted on X on Sunday.
The warning covers more than 10 villages and towns, including several in the district of Nabatieh that lie north of the Litani River, south of which Israel has stationed troops.

An analytics firm monitoring global energy flows says Iranian oil tanker movements continued in the days following a US naval blockade of Iranian ports, with dozens of vessels tracked in the Gulf according to Al Mayadeen Lebanese TV.
According to Vortexa oil tracking data, the firm recorded 34 movements of sanctioned and Iranian-linked tankers in and out of the Gulf in the week after the US imposed the blockade.
The company said it identified 19 outbound and 15 inbound vessel movements between April 13 and Monday.
Six of the outbound tankers were confirmed to be carrying Iranian crude, representing approximately 10.7 million barrels, Vortexa said in an email to The Associated Press (AP).
On April 12, US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of a naval blockade on ships attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz, escalating tensions in the vital energy corridor.
Despite these measures, multiple Iranian commercial vessels, many carrying liquefied gas and crude oil, have continued to pass through the strait, heading toward ports in China, India, and other destinations.

No Iranian delegation has arrived in Islamabad for talks with the United States, says a report, as senior Iranian officials declared they will not engage in talks “under the shadow of threats” following renewed American aggression at sea, according to Iranian Press TV.
Contrary to numerous international and regional media reports suggesting an Iranian delegation was set to arrive for talks, IRIB News Agency reported on Tuesday that “to date, no delegation from Iran has gone to Islamabad, Pakistan; neither a main nor a subsidiary delegation; neither primary nor secondary.”
The report dismissed speculation about scheduled meetings, stating that news circulated since Saturday about the “departure” or “arrival” of an Iranian team, or even specific meeting times, was entirely without basis.
Iran has fully prepared for the possible resumption of war as the ceasefire deadline approaches, with new surprises ready for any new round of imposed war, the Tasnim News Agency reported on Tuesday, citing informed sources.

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that an Iranian cargo vessel successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz despite the ongoing US maritime blockade on Iranian ports, according to Al Mayadeen Lebanese TV.
According to Tasnim, the ship Shoja-2 departed from Shahid Rajaee Port near Bandar Abbas and is continuing its journey toward Kandla Port in India.
The passage of the ship despite the blockade is not the first. Last week, Tasnim reported that an Iranian tanker, Alicia, passed through the strategic waterway between Hormuz and Larak islands without encountering any significant obstacles, the agency said.
Tasnim added that the vessel is the third Iranian tanker to successfully cross the Strait of Hormuz under the US’s announced blockade, signaling continued maritime activity despite escalating tensions.

Israel’s military says it has defined a “forward defense line” inside southern Lebanon, where it intends to hold and operate inside Lebanese territory, with the goal of clearing and controlling a strip of land.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy says Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz after the United States chose to maintain its blockade of the Islamic Republic’s ports in violation of the conditions of the ongoing ceasefire, as Iranian Press Tv reported.
In a statement on Saturday, the IRGC Navy noted that the Islamic Republic had decided to allow non-military vessels to transit through the strategic waterway along a specific corridor designated by Tehran after the ceasefire was announced.
“However, due to the violation of the ceasefire conditions, and as the American adversary has not lifted the naval blockade on Iranian vessels and ports, the Strait of Hormuz has been closed as of this evening until this blockade is removed,” the Corps said.
Accordingly, the IRGC warned that no vessel should make any movement from its anchorage in the Persian Gulf or the Sea of Oman to approach the strait, the statement added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Zionist regime, accused by the International Criminal Court in The Hague of war crimes and genocide and under investigations on tirture by UN, are doing everything they can to derail the truce negotiations underway in Islamabad between the Iranian delegations, led by Parliament Speaker Qhalibaf, and the US delegations, led by Vice President Vance.
Yesterday, Tehran imposed two preconditions at the start of any talks (see the April 10 update below), including an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon, which is one of the points in the Iranian agreement proposal (see the April 8 update below).
But Netanyahu is aiming to derail the summit ahead of his meeting with Lebanon on Tuesday in an attempt to convince it to split the truce agreements in two: one between Iran and the US and the other between Israel and Lebanon.
This would allow IDF terrorist soldiers to continue bombing Beirut and other Lebanese cities, violating the ceasefire with impunity, as they have done hundreds of times in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon itself.
To achieve this goal, they bombed northern Lebanon today, causing further deaths, adding to the dozens killed yesterday and the hundreds killed in the massacre in Beirut on April 8, just hours after the truce agreement between the US and Iran.

In Kfarsir, three consecutive strikes reportedly killed three people. Another raid on a residential building along the Zifta–Nabatieh highway, opposite a gas station, destroyed the structure and killed four civilians.
In Jbaa, in the Iqlim Al-Tuffah region, a missile fired by an Israeli warplane failed to detonate, a day after seven people were martyred by an Israeli strike on a local car wash facility.

Further south, a civilian was martyred in an airstrike on Qsaibeh, while Israeli warplanes struck the outskirts of Qantara, Adshit, Qusayr, and Khiam.
In Tibnine, two Israeli strikes were reported, one near the town’s cemetery, while the second hit near Tibnine Governmental Hospital.
Overnight, airstrikes hit Khiam, while shortly after midnight, an Israeli Merkava tank shelled the town of Mansouri, south of Tyre. Israeli aircraft were also reported flying over the Bekaa Valley.

According to Fars, negotiations are contingent on Washington accepting Iran’s preconditions before formal discussions can begin, underscoring Tehran’s position that prior commitments must be addressed before advancing toward a ceasefire agreement.
The broader ceasefire framework remains fragile, particularly due to “Israel’s” violating the ceasefire in its aggression on Lebanon.

In Qom, another security official reported that five civilians were killed and several others injured after strikes hit a densely populated residential neighborhood at dawn.
The strikes also hit the vicinity of Sharif University in Tehran.
President of Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Masoud Tegrishi, said, “The US-Israeli aggression launched a raid this morning on one of the university’s buildings, and unfortunately, it sustained damage. This attack did not result in any human casualties.”
In a post on X, the First Vice President of Iran, Mohammad Reza Aref, said, “The use of bunker-busting bombs in the attack on Sharif University is a symbol of Donald Trump’s madness and ignorance.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that its naval forces conducted a large-scale combined missile-and-drone operation against pivotal American and Zionist targets.
Among the key targets was a hideout used by American commanders and officers at a location near the Mohammad al-Ahmad naval base in Kuwait. The site was obliterated by precision strikes using multiple ballistic missiles and attack drones, the IRGC said.

“If they don’t do something by Tuesday evening, they’ll have no power plants left, and they’ll have no bridges left standing,” Trump told the Journal. In a social media post published Sunday morning, Trump said Iran would face infrastructure attacks if it didn’t open the Strait by Tuesday.

Oman and Iran are reportedly holding a meeting to examine options to ensure smooth flow of transit for ships, through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran and Oman share that critical waterway, but Iran has been asserting control over it, since the war started. The few ships that Tehran has allowed to pass through the Strait have been forced to cross closer to Iran’s coast.
Iraq has been already exempted from restrictions imposed on passage through the Strait of Hormuz, according to a statement by the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces.
“Brotherly Iraq has been exempted from the restrictions imposed in relation to the Strait of Hormuz,” Iran’s Al Alam TV channel quoted the statement as saying. The headquarters stressed that “the restrictions apply only to hostile countries.”.

The operation to rescue the American pilot from the downed F-15E fighter jet is becoming increasingly expensive. During the rescue, the US military destroyed two of its HC-130J Combat King search and rescue aircraft in Iran. A number of leading American newspapers report this.
Furthermore, a video has surfaced online showing the wreckage of the destroyed aircraft. It also shows the wreckage of a helicopter that was also involved in the rescue operation (read and watch below). Some sources claim it wasn’t the only one involved. It’s believed another such aircraft was destroyed, but this isn’t certain.

A Fox News Digital report cited missile expert Bruce Bechtol as saying that some Iranian missiles used against US and Israeli targets are either North Korean systems or based on North Korean designs.
He said the missile fired at Diego Garcia was a Musudan, adding that Iran purchased 19 of these missiles in 2005. He also described Iran’s Shahab-3 as “almost an exact copy” of North Korea’s No Dong.
Bechtol also told Fox that North Korea had helped Iran develop missile capabilities including the Qiam, Emad and Ghadr systems.

The United States has rescued the second crew member of a US F-15 jet shot down, President Donald Trump confirms, as Iran claims another US aircraft involved in the rescue has been downed in the province of Isfahan.
“This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies,” Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday. “He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine.”
The airman, who Trump said held the rank of colonel, was the second member of a two-person crew of an F-15 that Iran said on Friday had been brought down by its air defences.
But the Pasdaran press office denies the rescue and speaks of “a trap set for the enemy American plane that had entered Iran to rescue the pilot,” about which Iranian TV station IRIB had also broadcast an announcement “addressed to the residents of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad: capture the enemy pilot or pilots and hand them over alive to the authorities, to obtain a large reward.”
The US mission to rescue the pilot failed, with two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 support aircraft shot down, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesperson for the Khatam Al-Anbiya central headquarters of the Iranian military command, said on Sunday.
“The enemy’s efforts … to rescue the pilot of the downed plane have failed. In the south of Isfahan, enemy air targets were shot down, including two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 military transport aircraft … they are now on fire,” Zolfaghari said, as quoted by the Iranian state-run broadcaster IRIB.
Additionally, the IRGC’s Public Relations issued a statement early Sunday, revealing an advanced MQ-9 drone was also shot down over the province, bringing the total toll to four drones completely destroyed in the area over the past five days alone.

Tensions are rising in the Persian Gulf following confirmation that the second US warplane that crashed on Friday was also shot down by Iranian forces. The Wall Street Journal reported this, confirming a previous claim by Tehran’s military leadership.
The aircraft involved is an A-10 Thunderbolt II, the famous single-seat ground attack jet known as the “Warthog.” According to sources familiar with the incident, the pilot managed to maneuver the twin-engine plane out of Iranian airspace before ejecting and escaping to safety. The wreckage of the jet, therefore, did not fall into enemy territory, unlike what happened in the first incident of the day.
The situation regarding the other downing over Iran remains critical. The U.S. military is racing against time to locate the crew member of an F-15E Strike Eagle who remains missing.

Iran says it shot down a US A-10 aircraft near the Strait of Hormuz, Tasnim news agency is reporting, according to Al Jazeera
Citing the army public relations team, the report said the aircraft was targeted in waters south of and around the strategic waterway.
The claim could not be independently verified. The A-10 is a US ground-attack aircraft designed for close air support missions, particularly against armoured vehicles and ground forces.
This come after US media reports said a second US Air Force combat plane had crashed in the Gulf region on Friday.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it has targeted Israeli military gathering and support centers in Western al-Jalil, Haifa, Kafr Kanna, and the Krayot area, in the 93rd wave of Operation True Promise 4, as reported by Al Mayadeen.
The IRGC stated that this latest wave of missile strikes was carried out jointly with the Islamic Resistance and involved a combination of long-range, guided missiles with both solid and liquid fuel, as well as one-way attack drones.
The operation, continuous and ongoing according to the IRGC, is dedicated to the memory of the late Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmad Yassin.
According to the IRGC, further information and assessments of the results will be shared with the public in due course.
The IRGC stated that several US amphibious Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels stationed at al-Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait were struck and destroyed by ballistic missiles. LCUs are heavy-lift ships primarily used by the US Navy to transport troops, vehicles, and equipment from sea to shore.
A drone strike also destroyed an AR327 Commander high-performance, S-band tactical 3D air surveillance radar at the Jabal al-Dukhan site in Bahrain. The radar system, designed for long-range detection and air defense, can be rapidly redeployed by land or air and is capable of operating in extreme environments ranging from the Arctic to the Gulf.
Additionally, the IRGC reported missile strikes on Ramat David Airbase, southeast of Haifa, which houses Israeli F-16 fighter squadrons. Hypergolic-powered Khorramshahr-4 missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were launched at over 50 locations in Tel Aviv and other areas within the occupied territories, as part of a sustained “fire-for-fire” tactic. The F-15E is a two-man aircraft, and there is currently no news of the second pilot, who is believed to have ejected and parachuted to the ground. The rescue mission, according to CBS, is still ongoing, but Tehran media reports that the US helicopter involved in the search was hit by an Iranian projectile.

At least 29 US soldiers have been injured in Iranian attacks on a Saudi air base.
Iran fired six ballistic missiles and 29 drones at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia yesterday, wounding at least 15 soldiers, five of them seriously, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
US officials had initially reported that at least 10 US soldiers had been injured, two of them seriously. People familiar with the matter said the base was attacked twice earlier this week, injuring 14 US soldiers. Located about 60 miles from the Saudi capital Riyadh, the base is operated by the Royal Saudi Air Force but is also used by US troops.
