Second Attack as Former CIA Agent Predicted

We were among the first to relaunch the interview with a former agent of the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) counterintelligence who predicted another attempt to kill former president Donald Trump, now a Republican candidate to White House.
And his prediction turned out to be spot on. This time they would have tried to kill the tycoon, fresh from a failed debate with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the race for the US presidential elections in November, with a Kalashnikov, a weapon commonly used by jihadist terrorists, even if at the moment there are no traces of connections in this sense.
This is the second attempted assassination of Donald Trump in two months. “I’m fine, I will never give up”, reassured the former president.
The ambush to shoot him was apparently prepared by a military activist who supported Ukraine and was discovered in time by the men of the Security Service before he could strike…
The suspect arrested by the police is Ryan Wesley Routh, 58 years old and from North Carolina, although he recently moved to Hawaii from where he came to carry out the assassination attempt.

The alarm went off around 1:30 p.m. (Florida time – 6 hours CET). Trump was playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach: he was between the fifth and sixth hole when a Secret Service agent who was ahead of him spotted the barrel of a rifle sticking out of the fence and intervened by opening fire, scaring the gunman away. His colleagues, in the meantime, got Trump to safety: they pounced on him and covered him, also protected by snipers with tripods.
The former president was then driven away in a golf cart, before returning to Mar-a-Lago with a reinforced escort. A witness nearby saw the suspect running away from the bushes and managed to take photos of the car in which he fled, a black Nissan, and the license plate. Having handed the images over to the police, the agents were able to identify and stop him: when they stopped him he was not armed and was calm, without showing much emotion.
The witness identified him and the man is now in police custody. “He has not made any statements,” Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said.
In the bushes, police found a backpack, a GoPro camera and an AK-47-style rifle with a scope, a semi-automatic called a Kalasnikov after its inventor, which would have made Trump “close” to danger even though he was actually between 270 and 400 meters away. The investigation is in the early stages, although the FBI, bluntly, says it is investigating “what appears to be an attempted assassination of the former president.” The suspect’s motive is not yet clear.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been informed of the incident and will continue to be updated. The president and vice president are “relieved” that Trump is OK. “I’m glad he’s OK. Violence has no place in America,” Harris added. “I just spoke to President Trump. He’s one of the strongest people I know. He is in good spirits, and he is more determined than ever to save the country,” said Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally.
The shooting near Trump comes two months after the attempted assassination of the former president in Butler, Pennsylvania, by 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, killed on the scene by a sniper. Crooks shot the former president while he was on stage, wounding him in the ear but killing another person and wounding two others.
An attempted assassination that sparked a storm on the Secret Service, forcing the director to resign. On this occasion, the agents following Trump reacted promptly, avoiding the worst 51 days before elections that will be decided by a few thousand votes.
Snowden wondered whether US intelligence agencies had any “contact” with the pro-Ukraine attempted shooter
Authorities have yet to officially confirm the suspect’s identity, but multiple media outlets, including Fox News and NBC News named him as Ryan Wesley Routh, described as a white male in his mid-60s.
According to RT, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has wondered whether US intelligence agencies had any “contact” with the attempted shooter, pointing to his alleged Ukraine connections and vocal support of Kiev.
“We know little so far, but w alleged Trump shooter’s personal and public participation in military activity in Ukraine, it is hard to imagine this White House’s agencies can claim zero contact—”clean hands.” Something of an Oswald vibe, here. Congress should get answers,” Snowden wrote on X.
The whistleblower acknowledged that the suspect’s ID and motive has yet to be officially confirmed, but insisted it was “precisely why the public needs rapid, reliable, and non-evasive answers from the agencies you pay to provide them.”
The Alleged Attacker’s Pro-Ukraine Appeals on Social Media
From the social profiles, the alleged attacker appears to be a person obsessed with the war in Ukraine. The last post is from December 23 of last year. He said he had thousands of Afghan soldiers eager to enlist in the Haiti national police and to do so for little money. “A thousand with passports – he wrote – are ready to fly”.
The message followed with a telephone number and an email to send aid to Ukraine. Ukraine appears to be his obsession. Routh had written that he was ready to fight in Ukraine and give his life for the Ukrainians. Since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the man has written a series of posts in which he declared his desire to leave and asked for help and the commitment of other volunteers. A video shows him interviewed in Kiev by Newsweek Romania: he claims to be in the country precisely to recruit volunteers willing to fight “on the side of good against evil”.
In April 2022, the man claimed to be in Kiev with the aim of welcoming thousands of people from abroad in support of Ukraine.
