The HIGHWAY’s KILLER IN JAIL. The BENETTON’s Manager Sentenced and under Trial for Morandi Bridge Massacre too

by Gospa News Editorial Staff
“The former CEO of Aspi, Giovanni Castellucci, has turned himself in, definitively sentenced to 6 years for the massacre of July 28, 2013 when a bus fell from the Acqualonga viaduct in the Monteforte Irpino area, in Avellino (campania, Italy), causing the death of 40 people” reported Italian News Agency ANSA.
The judges of the Court of Cassation, after more than four hours of deliberation, had therefore decreed the definitive sentence of 6 years in prison for the former CEO of Aspi for the bus massacre.
Castellucci’s lawyers, Filippo Donacci and Paola Severino, had defined the sentence as “incomprehensible: on the basis of the evidence we have provided, we are convinced that the engineer Castellucci is totally uninvolved in the facts and that he has always carefully carried out his duties as CEO”. The judges of the fourth section have substantially rejected the requests of the Attorney General who had urged for the former to a second appeal for the re-evaluation of the sentence for manslaughter and acquittal with the formula “because the fact does not exist” for the manslaughter disaster.

The manager deemed responsible for the serious negligence in the management of the Benetton family’s highways, which also sees him on trial for the Morandi Bridge collapse massacre, ends up in jail, while his “financial principals” enjoy the business guaranteed by the Draghi and Meloni governments that are allowing them to speculate on the management of the highway network despite the multiple crimes of negligence, carelessness and imprudence connected to it.
Luciano Benetton (Treviso, 13 May 1935) is an Italian entrepreneur, politician and sports manager, founder of the Benetton Group and senator for the Italian Republican Party from 1992 to 1994. According to Forbes, in 2019 he is the 877th richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of 2.8 billion dollars.
In a nutshell: in 2003, following a major reorganization of the group, the concession activities were separated from the non-motorway activities and Autostrade per l’Italia S.p.A. was born, controlled by Autostrade (later to become Atlantia SpA owned by Benetton family).
“As the Committee for the Remembrance of Victims of the Morandi Bridge, we express our full appreciation for the third-degree verdict in the trial for the Avellino massacre, with the confirmation of the convictions of the various defendants, including Castellucci and Berti. No one will be able to return the lives lost to their families and ease the pain, but justice has revealed an ineffective maintenance system, flawed by enormous shortcomings, incompetence, mediocrity, all in order to reduce costs in contempt of human lives”
This is the statement released by Egle Possetti of the Committee for the Remembrance of Victims of the Morandi Bridge.
“This shows that what is emerging in our trial is not an isolated case, it is the system that has been laid bare, Pandora’s box is open. THEY ARE GUILTY!!!! Our closeness to all the families of the victims of the Avellino massacre” adds the spokesperson for the Committee who then releases another piece of vitally important news.
Victims’ Committee Civil Party in the Morandi Trial
“We are very pleased to learn that our Committee for the Memory of the Victims of the Morandi Bridge has been admitted as a civil party in the Morandi bis Trial. Our role in seeking truth and justice, combined with our work of civil commitment for change and progress in the field of security has been recognized. Our silent and constant struggle will continue with tenacity so that the tragedy of the Morandi Bridge can become a warning that forces us to undertake a new serious policy on security. Thanks to our lawyers Raffaele Caruso and Delfino Graziella for having carried out all the work with passion and seriousness, and thanks to those who allowed us to be accepted into the trial,”
noted Possetti.
But the government’s sensitivity towards these state massacres appears to be really minimal given that the Draghi and Meloni governments have enriched ASPI, the company responsible for the massacres…
ITALY HIGHWAYS ALERT: FALSE REPORTS FOR DANGEROUS BRIDGES, 3 ARRESTS
Never has any government, like those of Conte, Draghi and Meloni, been disinterested in a terrible massacre caused by a collapse of public infrastructures that multiple experts have recognized as being at risk due to problems of economic maintenance costs.
Never in the history of Italy has a company in charge of managing public contracts managed to slip away like a snake from its financial and judicial responsibilities: just think of the ILVA case that led to the indictment of all shareholders.
No Blackmail for the Benettons: Word of the Minister
“There was no blackmail, the Benetton family chose freely”.
Infrastructure and Transport Minister Paola De Michel
i defends the government’s choices in this way, speaking from Sorrento on the issue of the “nationalization” of Autostrade and on Benetton’s decision to accept, in recent days, the spin-off of Autostrade from Atlantia and the entry of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti into Aspi and the subsequent listing on the stock exchange.
This is what Repubblica reported on July 17, 2020, explaining how the Government, complicit in the Morandi Bridge massacre due to the lack of ministerial controls revealed by various ministers, intervened to take the “hot and bloody potato” out of the hands of the Benettons.
