Pope Francis has died.
His Eminence, Cardinal Farrell, announced it: “Dear brothers and sisters,” he said, “it is with deep sorrow that I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church. The announcement of the death of Pope Francis was given in the Chapel of Casa Santa Marta by the Camerlengo, Cardinal Kevin Farrell. Next to him were the Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, the Substitute Msgr. Edgar Pena Parra and the Master of Ceremonies Monsignor Diego Ravelli.
